Could be better

I have lived here for two years. The main reason that I renewed my lease is a convenient commute to my job.

The office staff isn't the best. They can be hot and cold. Sometimes they are over friendly and sometimes they just flat ignore you. They have a large turn-over of staff and this doesn't seem to help.

The maintentance staff is friendly, and they do repair things quickly, although not always as well as I would in my own home. The public areas are usually clean.

Parking is horrible and tight and overpriced. The absolute worst part is that there is no parking for guest. Although there is parking along the back of the building, this is reserved for employees and select residents.

The quality of the apartments is average. The studios and the 2 bedrooms are very overpriced. The sizes of the apartments seem to vary in size and you don't know this until you move in. This could be a huge problem if you are expecting larger rooms and closets and discover differently on moving days.

The roof top is lovely and it is one of the best features of the building. The downside is that they do not allow residents to reserve the roof top for parties. You could plan a party and go to the roof and find someonelse there. Even worse, you can plan something on Sunday after a Saturday night party and you have to wade through the trash from the night before.

The apartments are fairly quiet for an apartment. The alley side receives free concerts from Verizon center, along with various other entertainment mentioned in previous posts. The worst noise may come from a neighbor playing the music too loud.

I totally agree with you on all points except the recommendation part. Also; the maintenance staff just took another hit with a fresh firing. It seems to be the wrong staff members are the ones leaving or being fired. We do live on the Verizon side and really do not appreciate the "concerts"; the bass at times actually rotates the art on my walls; and the neighbor noise is beyond awful (from all directions). I had thought and been told that the concrete floors would absorb more sound; that is definitely not the case.
