Time NOT well spent. Avalon appears to be a new luxury apartment building, but that is simply due to its surroundings. Despite a convenient location to the metro, Avalon is overpriced for what it offers. It has two elevators, but it runs only one of them on a regular basis, which means you are waiting for the elevator for about ten to fifteen minutes...and then stopping at every floor on your way down. The staff is horrible - except for one friendly woman at the door in the morning, the managers are a nightmare to deal with and the maintenance staff can't fix anything. There is absolutely no communication between the managing staff and residents when building repairs are being made or an elevator is shut down. The dry cleaning service is terrible and has actually ruined some of my clothes. I would not recommend this apartment complex!

I totally agree. We have lived on the property since early 2006 and the situation has worsened with each passing month. There was a bright spot in management late in 2007-early 2008, but unfortunately she left for an opportunity near Baltimore. Firing Awesome was a pure bonehead move! Keeping Gina??? The new water bills are ridiculous!
Fortunately for us; our lease is up early next year and we are OUTTAHERE!!!
