I'm going on my 4th year at the Belvedere, and I couldn't be happier. The building manager and the maintenance man are incredibly attentive and friendly. The hallways and lobby are always very clean and well kept.
I forget that I have neighbors, because I never hear them. Although the building is old it is in very good repair.
My rent is very reasonable, and there was no increase for the first 2 years. When it did increase, it was only by $50.
There is no parking, but the building is located about 4 blocks from the orange/blue line and about 6 blocks from the red line.
The Belvedere is a secure building, but for added safety management has a police officer sit in the lobby a few nights a week. The area does have it's share of homeless, and hookers migrate thru a few times a year but otherwise it's a fairly safe area. I wouldn't say there is any more risk living here than in any other major city.
I would definitely recommend The Belvedere to anyone moving to DC.
