The Belvedere is a great place to live! The apartments and the lobby are beautiful. The resident manager is super nice. My neighbors were all friendly enough. And the neighborhood is fabulous. When I lived there in 2004, there was plenty to do withing a few blocks and there's a ton more now. It's also a short (about 15 min) walk to U St and to Dupont Circle. I wouldn't have left if I didn't have to move to a different city for school. The only negatives I can think of are that my studio was on the small side (the kitchen was tiny) and I very occasionally saw roaches. Management took care of the roach problem promptly, though, and was always responsive.
