To tell you the truth I was surprised with the comments I have read in this site. I have never encountered cockroaches, drunks or excessively loud college students. I have lived there now for about 2 and half years and have found my experience there to be rewarding. The staff is generally great barring some rude people, but even they warmed up to you after a while. The apartments are clean, some recently renovated and the area is quiet and serene. The deli is great and the staff there extremely friendly. If you are a single guy or a single girl, you can't go wrong at the Berkshire, being close to AU there are tons for both sexes and other tastes. The bus route is conveniently right in front of the building, and once you get to know the bus routes and schedules you can go anywhere without a problem, barring of course typical DC innefficiency. Overall a good experience.
