I've had a pleasant experience at the Berkshire these past three years. Most people have been nice. Management was attentive when I had any problems and when things needed fising were always there. There is some noise from College kids but being so close to AU that's to be expected. in any case when they gotten out of hand, all I've had to do is report them anonymously to Staff and after three such reports they've gotten eviction notices. Never had a problem with roaches, did run into a few spiders though but in a woody area that's to be expected. Love hearing birds and grasshoppers outside my window and seeing deer from time to time. Quiet neighborhood, safe what more can you ask for (except maybe a metro stop closer to Mass)
Got a great deal on my apartment and apart from the few incidents with noise I don't think it something one can't handle. First time leaving on my own so I guess I don't expect much, but I've enjoyed my time here. I will be moving out soon mostly because I want to be closer to a Metro line otherwise I would stay here longer. No real qualms, for the location (almost suburban) and price (close to National Cathedral and houses costing past $300 thou, its good. Sorry everyone else didn't have a better time.

The building is divided into West, Center and East so maybe your experience depends on which section you live in. I've been on the West side my whole stay here and not without its small problems, its been livable. I will miss it.
