The Berks is no palace BUT it is not horrible. It is one of the most affordable places in town. I lived here for over two years and never had any problems with roaches or bugs. The walls are thin, and sometimes college students are loud BUT if you call and complain, management is responsive. They will go knock on the door of whomever is being loud and they will get a noise complaint. Yes this place is packed with college students and there are some real looney old folks here, so I wouldnt recommend it to young professionals, but if you are a college student (ie AU student) looking for somewhere close to campus that is affordable and relatively clean with a convinent store and a somewhat decent gym, I'd say go for it.
