I've lived here for 3 years in a very spacious studio apartment with plenty of closet and cabinet space. The location is literally a few minutes walk from the Dupont Circle metro station. There are several bus lines and taxis near the apartment building as well that can take you anywhere in the city. There is a large variety of restaurants, coffee shops, clubs/bars and stores just a few steps away including a 24 hour CVS. The area is very liberal where many grad students, yuppies, and the LGBT community resides.

The lobby area of the building is well kept and classy. I feel safe and secure with a 24/7 front desk man. Some of the front desk clerks are nice. Some of them are not as friendly. I have found the maintenance staff pretty responsive to most facility problems. Amenities at this apartment building includes a manned package room, gym (I paid a one time $50 fee), on-site laundry facility that was recently remodeled, and a well kept roof top patio that closes during the winter months. The sight from the roof top is pretty and you can see the Washington Monument. The apartment staff does a good job keeping the public facilities clean and keeping residents informed of community announcements.

A few issues I've had recently have had here:
I've been struggling with a cockroach infestation in my kitchen that started this year. The issue seems to be finally dissipating once the exterminator assessed the problem and I finally got someone from maintenance to cover up the holes underneath my sink. Have not seen a single rodent here.

The community manager was great when I moved in and was very responsive. However, the community managerial position has changed a few times. I've had difficulty getting the paperwork done to renew my lease last year and this year.

Overall, I've been pleased living in Bristol House and would recommend others to live here.
