Relative bargain for Dupont circle. The facility itself is mediocre--think old linoleum counter tops and white enamel appliances instead of granite and stainless steel--but the location is perfect, a block from Dupont Circle and two blocks from rock creek.
My apartment is large (850 square feet), has two walk in closets, big windows (that allow the office building across the street to see me all the time). Kitchen is adequate with dishwasher, gas stove, older fridge. Staff is responsive and friendly (except Joseph who is a jerk to everyone and really should be fired). There are cockroaches occasionally but when you tell the staff they send the exterminator that week and it takes care of it.
Place is nicer than the Westpark but slightly more expensive and not as nice as The Flats but is way cheaper. (The Flats is essentially across the street, costs $800/month more in rent, and has smaller apartments--my one bedroom is 850 square feet with 2 walk in closets, and their one bedrooms are 650 sqft. It baffles me why people pay that much to live there.)
Moved down here after grad school and Bristol was ideal. The absolute best location possible, average rent for the area, and average apartment quality. I'm moving out b/c of a job but if I move back to DC next year I'd look for another place in Bristol house... SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
