I "WAS" a Prospective Tenant

I just want to make it clear that I have never lived at Brookland Park and from what I saw today, I never will, unless things completely change.
First, I was able to walk right in the building (643 Hamlin Street NE.) Now I'm not sure if the lock was broken, but I shouldn't have been able to get in without a key or code or something.
Second, when I walked in, I saw a person sleeping in the stairways, and needless to say it didn't smell all that great.
Third, the mailboxes were broken, so if you do decide to live here, you might want to get a PO Box so your important information is secured.
I did call the property managers (Hercules Real Estate, Inc.) and told them what I saw and that's why I will not be renting there. Hopefully it will make a difference.
Again, I just want to specify that these are my observances from just trying to view an apartment, I have never been a resident here. Oh yeah, they don't view on Mondays.
