I miss Brunswick House

My family & I lived at the Brunswick for a bit more than 3 years. I miss it terribly and I think for the rest of my life it'll be the standard to which I'll compare all the other places I live in.

This is the best place you'll find in Dupont Circle for the money. We had a large 1-BR and the closet space is unbeatable. I absolutely loved the neighborhood--to be so close to Whole Foods, Safeway, Giant and (since I didn't mind the 1-mile one way walk) Trader Joe's. Everything in DC was accessible to us.

Although it's an older building, we had little to complain about, especially after Andy Miscuk took over the management when our previous manager passed away. Andy is super-responsive to any building concerns, and any problems we had were dealt with quickly. He also kept everyone informed with emails & notices all around the public spaces. He also tried very hard to build a sense of community among the residents with coffees and get-togethers and opportunities for volunteering.

We wouldn't have left, but had to move on (to a different city & state altogether) for work reasons and an expanding family. If work hadn't beckoned, I think we'd have found a way to make the space work for us & our kids!
