Like many others, I moved here b/c I wanted to live by myself and couldn't afford anything else downtown. Please know what's going to happen to you if you move here:

The water pressure in my home is literally like drops and the paint is raised on many areas of the bathroom wall (signs of a really bad leak). I've addressed management several times, by phone, mail and in person and they've done NOTHING.

I've tried very hard to keep up with the roach problem by using traps and constantly cleaning. I know that living in the city means you're going to have to deal with this, but it's TERRIBLE here. They're ALL OVER the place!

I have neighbors who keep me awake ALL NIGHT with loud music and violent fighting. I've (politely and rationally) complained and rental office has done NOTHING.

Like one of the previous people...I also do not feel safe when I come home at night b/c of the groups of men hanging around the front door leering at me when I walk by. I don't even GO into the laundry rooms b/c of the creepy dudes who hang out down there. Not to mention broken dryers and the general nastiness of that whole floor.

None of this is meant as whining, but know that if you move here, you're not going to get the services that you are paying for...b/c no one in the rental office gives a crap. You might also consider taking up karate too, cuz there are some whackass people lurking about at night in the hallways.
