I can't believe what some people will pay to live in DC. My wife and I looked at a LOT of buildings before settling on the least of the evils. Calvert House was, by far, the UGLIEST and most DEPRESSING building we saw. The lobby is from the 70s-80s and the interior of the apartments -- GOOD LORD. I can safely say I've never -- and I mean NEVER seen a kitchen and a bathroom that ugly. The floors are parquet but they're ugly and beat-up, too. The only thing this building has going for it is location--smack in the middle of Cleveland park and a stone's throw to the Metro and everything else you might need. That's the ONLY reason to live here, though -- and do you really want to pay 1800 for a horribly ugly one bedroom for the privilege of living next to the Metro' lol
