I have lived here for six years and although when I moved in it seemed an idyllic neighborhood, the past two years have been a nightmare. The building was sold at the end of 2002, without notification of the tenents, and the new owners have done everything in their power to make our lives a living hell. The biggest problem (besides lack of communication with management company) has been the renovation of the apartment complex. Contractors have been in and out of my apartment for the better part of a year, trashing it, and my stuff, with no response from staff about fixing it, or being reimbursed for things such as my bed, desk, and computer being broken. When my apartment flooded last summer it took five days for someone to come in and stop the flow of water. I consequently had an mold infestation which was only halted with the cold weather (I could get rid of the mold on surfaces, but not from under the floor). Still, no responses from management. Living in a box on a street grate would be better than this!!
