Capitol Park Apartments - Avoid

Nice spacious efficiencies on the north side - which overlook an extremely noisy highway 100 feet away so your balcony will be unusable. That's OK with most tenants, who just use them to store their stolen shopping carts or other junk. Only one elevator out of three works reliably, so you had better enjoy stairs or waiting. Maintenance staff are competent and responsive. Walls are thin, so you will hear your neighbors every move. An increasing number of low income tenants have been moving in, with all the associated joys that entails - noise, disruption, crime, garbage scattered around, etc. They also have a condensation problem with their air conditioning system (units built into floors in each apartment) - the units leak water into the apartments below them causing large creeping stains on the walls. I decided to move after being aggressively panhandled for change in my hallway and seeing one too many police incidents in or around the building.
