I lived for 3 months at the PLAZA and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Like the last reviewer, I found the same problems to exist but I don't feel that saving a couple $100 is enough to put up with:
1) roaches
2) safety and security: a woman's purse was snatched on my floor, side door always open, security never around, projects right across the street, etc.
3) paid parking inside a gate that's always broken and constantly having people park in your space; once I couldn't get out of the gate because it was broken and would not open
4) $75/yr for use of dirty swimming pool
5) dirty, scary, laundry room
6) lack of cable service - you can only get Washington Cable which gives you about 15 channels
7) cannot control heating and AC; AC did not come on until middle of May so everyone had to suffer through some extremely hot days
Very Mismanaged!
The elevator is very loud so it's best not to live near it (or better yet, just don't live here at all). I should also mention that even though it's convenient to the highway, services and amenities in the neighborhood are very limited and are not places you would want to walk to like the Safeway and metro, especially at night. Overall: don't bother
