I moved in April, 2000, after a problem with moving into Potomac Place, which is now going condo. It was nice. I worked on the Hill and could walk to work in under 15 minutes. Then it got warm . . . and no AC. So, I contacted management and was told they did not have to turn the AC on until the end of April. Being a lawyer, I researched the law and found that was not true. Upon confronting the lady again, I was told I was wrong and no AC until the end of April. Thus began my posting of the phone number to the DC Housing Authority on every floor of both towers . . . and the tearing down of those postings everyday. However, I won, as the Towers got AC about 3 weeks before the other buildings. I also had noise problems from next door and above me. The cops fixed the next door noise. The upstairs noise was due to no carpet (a lease violation) and nothing was done despite repeated attempts by me. I left Sept. 10, 2001, (great timing) after I could not get anyone from management to come inspect my very clean apartment and clear up any problems with my deposit. They say I owe them $120, I say they owe me $200. All in all, a not-so good experience, and that was before the change in ownership and conversion to hellhole. A true shame, as the place had some possibilities.
