I'm still here because of my family memebrs but am seriously looking for a new place to move out soon.
Here's some highligts of my 10 years stay in this building:
Pros:
-Convenient location if you don't have a car
-About 10 min walk to 3 metro stations
-Not very bad neighborhood from this building to the National Mall side but not good either
-If you are not at home often, you can still get your parcels at security desk (because UPS/USPS carriers cannot go up to your room with broken elevators). Be prepared to wait for security guard who often disapperead nowhere.
-OK MacDonald's opens daily and Subway, Potbelly, etc during weekdays. That's all if you don't want to cook at home.
Cons:
-Poor dirty old building (built in 1960s) with often broken elevators, washers, dryers, whatever you can name
-Poor service from mgmt office, particularly rude from mgmt office
-Mgmt changed a year ago but not much difference in poor service
-Too hot in winter and temperature reached over 90F during changing seasons: from winter to spring or when temperature suddently changed outside. Think about how global warming will effect you!
-Filthy Safeway with expired meat and veggie and it is the only grocery you can rely on if you can deal with rude cashiers
-Filthy Gold Gym nearby with rude staff
-Closed to police station and fire engine so be prepared loud siren at nights
-If you are unlucky enought to get the room on I395 side, be prepared more noise and occastional accident views from your room
-Noisy neighborhood, most played loud music and chatted loud voices from the street
-Pee from people who swim with you in the swimming pool when it opens in the summer
-Smell in the hallways and no vents in the kitchens and bathrooms of this building
-You can smell smoke in the building often and when you call maintaince to report, they don't care whether you are burning alive
-You can often trapped in the elevators when they are working but when you pressed emergency button, you will have to answers why you are so stupid to be in the elevators (pound the door and be prepared to get out of yourself, don't rely on the "emergency" button
-Rats, roaches, and other insects with many legs will vist you often though you closed your paper-thin doors
Hope you read this after a tour from the leasing office.
Good luck!!!

Just say it: You hate balck people and you hate living amongst them. You are also a woman who wants all the amenities and coolness of city living, without all the drawbacks and sacrifices you make to live in the city.
