Wonderful place to live in Georgetown!

The Carillon House is lovely.
Whoever this fellow is that seems to have an axe to grind needs to get over it. The building itself, while 50 years old, is in remarkable shape; upgrades of all sorts have been completed over the years and more are being worked on. The hallways were just repainted and new carpet installed.
The staff, management and maintenance, have always been professional and most helpful. I've called a few times over the years, always gotten through to the right person and had resolution of any issue.
When I lived on a lower floor, I did hear sirens and traffic, but folks, this is in Georgetown, an urban setting. The windows that were changed out about five years ago certainly buffered a majority of the noise. I'm now on one of the upper floors and the street noise is further reduced by sheer distance.
As to apartment-to-apartment noise, with the plaster walls, we don't hear others unless everyone has their windows open.
I have recommended to friends, and even a cousin when she was moving to the area, that they live at Carillon House.
I've found everyone on staff to be most pleasant. A tenant or two, not so much, but then again, this is the big city!
