The worst building on Wisconsin Avenue.

Loud, loud, loud...and the funky cooking smells from your immigrant neighbors will drive you crazy. Not enough Glade or Oust spray in the world to alleviate it. Absolutely no insulation from noise, and no ventilation from odors. Take a pass...this building is way too old and unkempt.

I don't know what the guy's grudge is, but I've been here over five years and I think it's great. It's loud on the Wisc. Ave. side of the building because you have traffic, including a lot of sirens, but the walls are concrete and you can't hear your neighbors no matter how loud they are. There are no "grounds" to speak of; the place is blanketed with security cameras and the front desk is manned 24-7. The management and maintenance staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful, with the exception of one woman at the front desk who hasn't smiled in five years. The residents are mostly widows, widowers, divorced men (me), and a lot of graduate students. If you don't like immigrants you probably shouldn't live in D.C.; and if you don't like the smell of home-cooking ... well, you probably shouldn't live in an apartment building. John - 910 |

"Home cooking"?! ROFLMAO!!! Only if your home is in CALCUTTA, INDIA. Immigrant cooking is MUCH more like it.
