I have been living in this house for about 9 months and unfortunately this has turned out to be my biggest mistake.
This building is very old so things to tend to fall apart (and small ones do get fixed pretty fast), however when something on a bigger scale happens the management is simply inadequate.
For instance boilers were being replaced over the summer... it took them several months with meant bad water supply, on occasions several days without hot water. And it still takes about 5-10 min for hot water to start running in the bath and the water pressure is no good either.
Second example. In beginning of October our great management decided to change AC units in several wings of the building. The note said that it would take 2 weeks... well it has been 9-10 weeks already and still they have not finished. It is just disgusting to live in this half torn down apartment with all of your stuff in one corner every single day there is additional layer of dust all over the place (since the AC pipe is open as it has a whole in it). I mean it is not only cold it is also uncomfortable and ugly. I have talked to the management apparently they think that everything is going as it is supposed to.
Third example. The AC or vent in the laundry room broke down so the temperature over there is over 100 F. I promise it is our new sauna ;)
Oh and when I was moving they told me that the service elevator is working, but i found out that it has not been working for a long time. So we had to carry some of the furniture by stairs since it did not fit into the smaller elevators.
I dont want to keep it long I have many examples and unfortunately as of now I am fed up with it!
In Short: THE MANAGEMENT IS THE WORST EXAMPLE OF A MANAGEMENT ONE COULD FIND! Please stay away from it!
