Irresponsible Management and No A/C Half the Summer

If you don't enjoy having A/C in the summer, this is the place for you. My A/C unit was not turned on until June and will promptly be turned off on the last day of September. It wasn't until I complained three times that they turned the heat off in my unit in May. It was unliveable. The management here has no regard for human life and Doug, the manager, lies terribly to potential tenants. When I moved in 2.5 years ago he told me cable was included, tenants received a discount at the (now closed) Deck across the street, and that within six weeks the entire building would have free internet. None of this was true, although the wiring for internet is now being installed, but residents shoudldn't expect internet access for another "12 months or so." Front desk attendants apart from Glenn are extremely rude and unwelcoming. Tenants are reprimanded like children by ornery receptionists and maintenance workers. The heat was broken in the laundry room last year for three months - the thermostat was stuck on 85 degrees! And no one bothered to fix it for three entire months. Apart from the location there is nothing convenient about living here.

Does sound like someone on a grump. I can't agree with this post. Even though the building is older, it's a great place to live. They have been working on the a/c but have been good about letting us know the progress, and the plans. They have been accomodating for us during the recent renovations. The sun deck is great. Beautiful views from any angle, anywhere in the buiding. Kinda dated design in some areas, but expected for the era of the building. Reception staff has been very nice to us. Prompt at fixing a couple maintenance issues we had. Convenient location, etc. I agree with most of the positives posted here but without going overboard. I have recommended to others I have met in DC.

This person is grumpy.
-He/She failed to mention that they were in the process of replacing A/C units
-The Sun Deck has Wireless Service
-The entire staff has been nothing but overly welcoming to me and accomodating
