When I first moved in-2001. Management and mantaince was great! As a single female I had no problem with the male prostitutes roaming on the side streets between 10pm and 6:00am on the side streets. At least they aren't standing directly outside the building(after all I am in the city...you have to take the good and the bad-plus I rather have prostitutes outside than drug dealers or gang bangers). Yet, as far as customer service and maintance of the building it has gone down hill. Out of the six years I have been here this past year has been the worst. The grounds have not been kept up, and for the first time I saw a roach in the building and there is a major rat problem. The grounds are no longer kept up, alot of it stems from the fact that there is only one maintance person, Freddy. Ms. Elaine who was the building manager left, and since then the building has gone down hill. The office is not customer friendly and do not know what professionalism means. They act as if they don't want to be bothered when it comes to managing and maintance of the property. Moreover, alot of rift raft have moved in and they have allowed families with 4 and 5 children to move into a one bedroom (one family is right next to me). Isn't there a law agaisnt that' I would not recommend Carmel Plaza to anyone.
