Fantastic price (includes utilities) and wonderful staff. A 24 hour desk staff that accepts packages and will help bring them up to your apartment if needed is tough to beat. The maintenace staff is unbeatable (literally, meaning I once complained about something at the front desk and the maintenance guy beat me back to my own apartment and was waiting for me at the door!). The closet space can be a problem but what my friends and I have done is basically turn the dressing area into a gigantic walk in closet and, volia!, problem solved. My studio has a dining room which I converted into a bedroom and incidentally this is the largest studio I've seen around for this price and I did a TON of looking. The noise from the street can be loud depending on where your apartment is in the building because, well, in case you hadn't noticed, Wisconsin Ave is a major thoroughfare in...the city!! If noise bothers you-move to the suburbs! Oh, and I've seen 3 bugs in the five years I've been here. They have an exterminator available every Friday. I LOVE this place. It's nice, safe (they just installed a brand new security system, but the last one wasn't so bad either), within walking distance to several restaurants in either direction, the Cathedral and other churches have several fairs in the summer that even the non-religious (such as myself) can enjoy.
The biggest problems:no dishwasher, parking is a problem( if you can't walk a block or two, otherwise it's fine), everytime someone important dies they have a service at the Cathedral and you walk outside to find the Secret Service in front of your building and then parking actually is a nightmare. That's it.
Man I'm going to miss this place...
