Things Aren't Any Better

I love the "YES" comments below. These people must be living in an illusionary world.

First, off the power outages have been going on for years evidentally. Management cannot afford to have a backup system for power. This is laughable considering the owners of this building who have millions and what a backup device would cost.

(The maintenance crew are a real trip when this happens. They put lights in the stairwells and leave the tenants to find their way around in the dark otherwise. I felt like I was in a dark, creepy movie, moving around in the dark down a creepy hallway and feeling the walls and open space and touching the wall down the hallway to find my apartment. One time was even worse when I had to walk even up a dark stair case a couple of flights and then feel my way to my apartment.)

On another note this week, the management was asking us to take out the screens so that they could wash the outside windows. Isn't this suppose to be part of maintenance' And the screens could not even be taken out -- because I can guess that like I tried that the screens are stuck and a jack or something would have to be used to remove them.

At this point, no washing of the windows, I'm assuming was done. But really I was hoping that they would leak since I have asked them to fix my leaky windows and nothing has been done -- and it has been over 6 months and still nothing. (Will probably send them a bill for any damages occurring.)

I also agree about the mailroom that it is a free for all and everyone to themselves in locating their packages when they are put there.

Thank goodness, I don't have too much longer to spend here as I'm planning to retire and move south -- otherwise I would have moved from this dump -- but decided to stick it out until I do move.

It is now 2009 and the only thing to add to this comment is that now the leasing office keeps and hands out all packages...when they get around to it. I no longer have packages sent to my apartment b/c literally 6 times I went to check on a package, was told it had not arrived, tracked it online, went back to the office, and lo and behold it was in the leasing office. This is reason # 576 I am moving.
