I have to agree with the others about the appaling security in this building. When I rented the apartment the rental agent said it was a very safe building and that there was full time security and I would never have to worry about my safety. Well the area is not a high crime area compared to other parts of the city but I sure don't feel safe. There is no security or management during the day and usually none at night, especially late at night. If there is they are over at the Saratoga building. At the Chesapeke the just have a desk in the lobby with a clipboard on it that says the guard will be back. But most nights the clipboard is in the same place all night but I never see a gaurd. The hallways are very dark and dingy, it gives me the creeps going from the elevator to my door. I would not even think about using the stairs, that is even worse. When I ask the rental manager about this, they just look at me like I am a problem and that no one else feels this way. I am leaving at the end of my lease, safety is way to important.
