I just recently left the Chesapeake after living there for several years, and I can't tell you what a relief it is to have found a nicer place for less month right down the street. I had to move because I was tired of the bugs, the rude, incompetent management and the general lack of safety there. Security guards were falling asleep each night and there was always a broken door, window or something. One of my biggest pet peeves were the leasing consultants--both the agents and the managers. They never gave me a straight answer and always had a nonchalant, silly attitude about any concern I raised. I once told a friend that between all of them, there may be about 20 brain cells. I truly believe that. I just don't understand how that place still manages to get by.

As far as the apartments, they are old. There is no air in the lobby. The heaters blow you out in the winter. The apartments are humid and there was always a smell of gas or paint permeating from down the hallway. Maintenace seemed to improve over the past 6 months or so which was nice to see.

I would not recommend this place to anyone.
