The best thing that can be said about the claridge house is its address; georgetown, downtown, dupont are all easily walkable, and the metro is close as well. Unfortunately, besides the pool on the roof most of the building is extremely pedestrian. The laundry facilities are more or less gross, the hallways call for the glory days of the 70's, and the management and 5 out of the 6 door people would just as soon spit on you than help you in any way. If you are a student or a very young professional, this is a good option because you are within seconds of GW, and close enough to most good neighborhoods in the city. But if you are looking to create a long term home, I would suggest running elsewhere. Fast.
