great location, crappy facilities, crappy staff

The staff in general is at best eccentric, and at worst mean as hell. I'm generally a pretty agreeable person, but I found it very difficult to deal with them. The two men who work at the front desk are very nice, though, so deal with them if you can.
I think the biggest problem with this place is the disjunct between the landlords, the management staff, and the leasing office--they seem not to communicate at all, and that makes logistics a nightmare.
The bulding is definitely in need of renovation--the renovations that started in 2008 were to the hallways, etc., but the apartments also need major repairs. My place smelled like mold no matter how many times I cleaned it and the shower broke irreparably halfway through my stay.
The place also tended to be noisy.
On the other hand, the location is great--5 minutes from the orange/blue line; 15 minute walk to Georgetown; 20 minute walk to DuPont circle. In addition, the place is safe--I never felt weird walking in this area, evean alone at night.
That said, there are other apartment complexes in this area, and I would not choose to live here again, regardless of the reonvations, until I hear that the staff organization and friendliness has improved
