The management of the building has received numerous complaints about various problems, but never quite fix them completely. The two issues that we've faced repetedly are:

(1) The elevators do not work properly. About once every week or two week, someone is called in to "fix" the elevators. Then, surprise surprise, the exact same problem resurfaces. Promises to replace the elevators were made months ago. Nothing has happened yet.

(2) The G2 garage door doesn't always open properly. The very old-school sensor (some sort of wire or tube stretched out across the interioir driveway) seems to cut out now and then. Finally, someone installed a button to press to open the door should the sensor not kick in. I've pressed that button at least three or four times in the past month.

Why are there such problems with FIXING stuff' Are the contractors weaselly' All I can say is, I have a condo elsewhere in DC in a building that is older than this one, and everything works fine. Go figure.

On the plus side:

The apartment has a fairly decent, but very small gym. There are many young professionals (ages 21-35) who live here, but folks are quiet and respectful: no rockin' parties to keep you up on nights you just want some peace!

The front-office managers are nice, even if the repairs are never done properly. They might grow "less nice" when residents start to lean on them to get the problems fixed ONCE AND FOR ALL.
