Yes, you read right, I am content with this place and I do not work for the office or the parent company. I am a young physician at the nearby Washington Hospital Center and I love the fact that my commute to work is 5 minutes. We have even petitioned and gotten the hospital to make the Cloisters an official bus shuttle stop. Now not everything is great about this place. The location is pretty bad as there are very few shops, restaurants or bars within walking distance. There is no supermarket other than a small mini mart and a CVS. The area is also not the most secure around, as there have been a couple of muggings in the past six months. As for the apartment complex itself, well me and my roommate have a fourth floor unit, which is very nice. We do not get noise from the people above and have a nice view from our balcony. But I do agree that sometimes the people at the office do need to be more service oriented. I had to put in a request for a leaking toilet six times before anything was done about it, and still it is leaking even though they have replaced the seal. As with most residential units around, workmanship on this place was low. The paintwork is old and boring, the carpet is worn out and old and my roommate had to get it cleaned himself to make it presentable. As for the neighbors, well they are mostly college kids, which for someone in his early thirties is difficult to connect with. Overall thought I would say I am ok with this place. The only things that scares me is the security guard up front, I mean he is not the smartest cookie around and they let him carry a gun, talk about accident waiting to happen.
