The good still outweighs the bad.

The Good:
I like being able to walk to the red line. It is not a 10 minute walk like it is advertised more of a 15-20 minute walk. It is a nice walk in the morning but I would never do this walk at night, the streets are just too dark. However, there are always a decent amount of metro buses across the street. The 2 bedroom apt. inside has a decent amount of space and it was fairly clean when I moved in w/ new carpet and fresh paint. The drawers were pretty gross but contact paper always works. The price I pay for this apt is what keeps me here. I pay about $1250 b/c there was a move in special. From my apt. shopping research this is a pretty good deal for DC.
The Bad:
I keep a clean apt. and every summer those gross bugs w/ all of the legs find there way inside. I believe from the sliding doors. I also had a mouse for a few months that my dad finally caught and killed. It scared me to death. It was also coming from the balcony. This is supposed to be a lux. apt. but to me everything is just pretty basic. I got a new fridge, carpet and microwave when I moved in but the ceiling fan, washer/dryer, stove and dishwasher look like they were made before I was born. Also, repairs suck so take good care of your apt. When things ARE fixed they are barely done. Parking is very tight at night. The security guard is okay, when he is working. The first night we moved in our car was towed b/c it didn't have a parking sticker and I didn't know about that, no one in the office informed me. The parking guard smiled and watched me park then towed my car while we slept.
All that said, when a better deal on an apt. comes around I will probably move however right now the good still outweighs the bad. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
