Hi, I heard about this site and came to look around, and I saw that the Cloisters had 14 reviews. I used to live here-moved out in april 03-and EVERYTHING that the other reviewers are saying are completely true. Apts are billed as luxury, but they are not. I guess they consider a new microwave luxury. My fridge leaked for 2 months-i called every week-and they finally gave us a new one. which was great, but i wasnt even asking for that. I was just asking for them to fix the freaking thing so i didnt have to mop every two days. Oh, and our garbage disposal broke 4 times. Thats what they shouldve replaced. AND one night brown water started pouring out of my hallway next to my bathroom, and i got out every pot in the house to catch the water. So I called emerg. maint. and left 3 messages--no one ever called me back. And that leak caused mold in a corner of the living room carpet and i demanded that they take it up, cause i'm allergic to mold--who isnt' so maint. barges in one day while i'm in my room getting dressed (that ended in a big argument) then they pull up they carpet and remove the padding in an entire corner of the room. they never came back to replace it. This was about 4 mon. before i moved out.

Bugs--I also got these huge centipedes. They were always right next to the balcony, i dont know if they came from the trees or what but they freaked me out. Better than roaches, i guess-of which i only saw one and went crazy with raid and boric acid.

Office--they are the most ghetto, unprofessional, dismissive people i ever met in my life. My friend-whom i used to rent from and used a reference-asked me, after they called her and before i moved in, what was up with their attitude. that should've been a sign. They only good thing about this place was the price, $1145 a mon. cause we got a special. Then i didnt get my deposit back, cause my roommate did not give them written notice of vacating--although i did, 2 month before the last day. DO NOT MOVE HERE. And oh, i dont even wanna talk about parking. And the so called security door to the building was broken about once a month.,, sigh...
