MICE, ROACHES, MAINTANENCE, STAFF...PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING

My roommate and I were so excited to move into our new apartment last august, that we overlooked the smell in the hallways, the stains on the carpet, and a few other things that should have been a warning sign to us. The first week we were there we noticed that our apartment was infested, and I mean infested, with fleas. We called the office and after about two more weeks they finally had the "exterminator" come in at which point he put down about 5 sticky traps intended to catch mice. I'm thinking are the thousands of fleas just going to happily jump themselves onto these sticky traps' Turns out the traps weren't such a bad idea because as we soon found out our place was also infested with many other creatures. Centipedes, spiders, crickets, roaches, you name it they were in our apartment. The bug problem was so bad that I went around our entire apartment and taped around the floorboards with masking tape. I felt like a crazy woman but it did help the bug problem. But then came...THE MICE! In our closets, in our bedrooms, IN OUR STOVE! I never wanted to cook in the kitchen because there were actually mouse droppings and urine in the burner of our stove. And these must have been some genetically altered rodents because all of our efforts with traps and poison were in vain.

As far as maintenance goes, I hate to talk bad about them because I actually like the guys, but there are maintenance requests that we put in back in august when we first moved in that still have not been taken care of. My roommate's bedroom flooded this past month and it TWO WEEKS before anyone responded. And although someone came out and checked the windows the problem was never fixed and my roommate began to get sick from the mold that started to grow.

The staff is...sigh...I don't even have words. I would say incompetent but that's already been said over and over again in previous postings and I really don't even have the energy to go into further detail. The experience has been so frustrating and I just encourage anyone who lives here to get whatever someone says to or promises you in writing because a month later no one will remember the conversation and you will be out of luck. In the 8 months that we have lived there they have had 3 different assistant managers. It's ridiculous.

Honestly, when I read the reviews for this place last year I thought people were just being bitter and overly negative, but I found out the hard way that the previous reviews were absolutely true. It almost makes me laugh reading the other reviews because they are so spot on. So for your own sake DO NOT LIVE HERE.
