I have lived here for six months or so. The interior of the building is spotless--bright hallways, nice lobbies. The apartment itself is somewhat small, and furniture is difficult to arrange because of strange jut outs (pipes' wires') and the big closet door in the living room that should really be on the side of the closet opposite the bathroom. That said, the apartment was in excellent shape when I moved in, and is now cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is small and the stove and refrigerator are not full size. But, the bathroom is decent sized and the shower is good. I've had quick responses to maintenance problems, and the staff is nice and helpful. I can hear my upstair's neighbors' TV, but think this is just a noisy neighbor, as I hear nothing on either side or downstairs. Road noise minimal, and I'm not on the side facing the zoo, so I get no construction. Parking is tough, and your car gets filthy from the zoo construction vehicles. NO PEST problems--that review is a LIE!

Lest this sound like an ambivalent review, I am just pointing out the relative weakenesses of the place. You cannot find another apartment for this price in this area that is this nice. And the location is amazing. Quick walk to metro, quick walk to restaurants and stores. Long walk or one metro stop to all that is Dupont Circle, and none of the madness and craziness of Dupont. The zoo crowds and tourists can be a bit wearing on the weekends when you try to walk around the neighborhood, but that is countered by the availability of the zoo (in the summer) on the evening to run or walk.
