I love this place

My apartment was in 2301 Cathedral Ave, and faced a lovely stone church and many trees. The layout was fine, the windows were huge and beautiful (great architectural details), the ceilings were high (my guess is @ 12-14 ft). Perfect size for one person, or a couple. Yes, the kitchen was small, but this is DC and that's how it goes. This is a highly coveted area, and the rent price was actually very good compared to a lot of other apartments. I saw dumpy studios for nearly the same price in this area. The lobbies of the buildings are beautiful, and Tony (maintenance staff) treated me like a family member. The management staff was polite and professional, and I would sometimes go to the rental office and chat with Amber, the lease coordinator. Parking was great once I had a spot in the garage, otherwise it was tricky. There are spots in the parking lot, but when it's full, you have to park on the street, which is ok, but if you have an out-of-state license plate, forget it! DC cops are brutal when it comes to parking- without a zone permit, you can only park in the area for two hours. I tried reparking my car on another street after the two hour limit was up, and they STILL ticketed me! I'd live here longer if I had more money!
