I've been living here since 2005 and have been overall satisfied with my stay. The apartment is spacious and I love my hardwood floors and wide windows. The daytime doorman, building manager, and maintenance man are very friendly and I enjoy conversing with them on my way to and from. Street parking is plentiful and I only started renting parking from the building when my car started having mechanical problems.

I have found that if you want a building where people keep to themselves, this is the place for you. Residents are either elderly or too busy with their own lives to meddle in yours. The only interaction you'll have with your neighbors are the sounds of their lives that you will hear through the walls which are QUITE thin.

As stated in other posts, there is a slight pest problem, but no more than any other building in any other major city where hundreds of people are living on top of each other. I would not describe the situation as "rats and roaches everywhere" and believe the building manager does everything she can to rectify the situation.

My final concern and frustration is, as mentioned in an earlier post, the night doorman who may no longer work for the building. He is indeed rude and I'm not sure if he's sure what his job as a doorman entails. On more than one occasion I've had to report his behavior. However, everyone else on staff is wonderful.

This is an accurate review. People here keep to themselves. Not that friendly or warm a place, although some people are quite nice. Most of the staff is nice. But the manager can be really mean and rude when she wants to be. She'll be very friendly in the beginning. The new management company is always raising the rent, and being stingy with any expenditures. You get the cheapest possible appliances that they repair endlessly and never replace. It's ashame that they refuse to really maintain the place. The fixer guys do their best to keep the place afloat, but it is essentially in disrepair. But I'm sure the owners and mngmt company make a lot of money by always jacking up rent and spending almost nothing.
