Great value for neighborhood

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
We lived in the Eddystone for close to two years. We were in one of the corner units (#6) and found it to be a great space for two. There was fairly ample closet space, unique architecture, and fantastic views of the city (we could see the 4th of July fireworks from our bedroom).
Barbara, the resident manager, keeps a close eye on the front door which helps keep the building safe, and the maintenance man was always very responsive whenever we had any problems. We never had any issues with pests in our unit, though the building is quite old so there are probably some in the building. The neighborhood is fun, and it's an easy walk to Dupont, U-Street, and Penn Quarter. Wholefoods is also right around the corner - horribly overpriced though.
Of course, there are a few cons. The laundry room only has 6 washers and dryers, which is great when you can get all of them, but don't count on doing Laundry Sunday night. There is also no parking for the building. Parking around Logan Circle also requires some patience.
Overall, I'd recommend the building. Both The Resident Manager and the Maintenance man are friendly, it's in a great location, and the apartments are a great price for their size and the neighborhood.
