Awful

I had approximately 5 different leaks in my apartment, not confined to the same room. Twice the ceiling caved in. There were also severe noxious fumes a few times and management lied to me about the source at least once. (They said the store next door was painting, when really we found out they were applying some strong chemicals to the garage while wearing protective breathing apparatus.)
The building looks beautiful, but they must have spent all the money on superficialities, because other than the shoddy construction, much of the apartment is just poorly designed. The gorgeous-looking kitchen only had two real drawers and two or three reasonable cabinets. The fancy track lighting would flicker and sometimes not even work. Utilities were crazy expensive, probably because of the concrete floors.
I never felt personally threatened in the building despite the somewhat dodgy area, but we did have a bicycle stolen off our second floor balcony. The security guards seemed more interested in letting clubgoers park behind our building (for money') than actually guarding anything.
When maintenance was required, it wasn't reliable. Usually they didn't fix anything right the first time and once the emergency guy never even showed up.
Management also tried to go back on the moving-in deal we got -- in writing -- from an employee who was no longer with them. We had to really fight to keep it.
The daytime person at the desk was great, but all others were completely in the dark in terms of knowledge.
The good: the apartment was beautiful, the gym was great, parking is great although you pay for it, the location is great, and I felt mostly secure.
For this much money though, I expected much, much better.
