I've been hear at the Ellington since February 2006. As a former member of the Property Management Industry, I pay a bit more attention to certain things:
A Professional & Responsive Staff
Clean and accessible Common areas
Comfortable, functional & quiet living space
Safety and Parking access
The Daytime Concierge, Dawn, is the Queen of the Building, knowing everyone's name, unit and particular requests, she's the Best and the Residents appear to truly love her. The Management staff is also friendly, and professional and the Maintenance Team is very conscientious and responsive!
The Building is always in "Inspection Ready" Condition, the Lobby, Corridors, Party Room, Business Center and Exercise Room always inviting and impressive when my Guest tour the Building.
My unit is a comfortable 1 Bedroom with ample closet space and Balcony facing the Community Park, where I get my daily fix of the dogs and school children playing. After living in Fairfax for the past 10 years, it's great to see those elements people believe you can only find in the "Burbs". The concrete floors are fantastic along with the very contempory yet warm kitchen with it's sleek cabinets & appliances. As far as noise from the neighbors, not a problem here, but just as in most multi-level buildings I can hear neighbors walking, talking in the corridors.
The Parking Garage is very safe, well lit and clean. We have experienced a few technical difficulties with the Garage Door lately, however Management is sensitve to safety and have implemented the proper contingency plan.
Overall, I would rate this Building an Excellent place to live, and as I mentioned by Guests are always impressed, even we've had a late night at one of the local establishments, we've had nothing but a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!
