Good and Bad depending on your floor

I've been in two different apts in this building. A 2bdr on the 5 floor and a 1 bedroom on the second. Both have their own pros and cons.

On the 5th floor facing Ust I had an amazing view but way too much noise, even with the windows closed. The first week of living there a piece of wood broke off from the top of the dishwasher that was poorly set in. The kitchen is gorgeous but the fluorescent lighting is harsh and somewhat inadequate. we had a three sided fireplace which was cozy in the winter but generally just blocked your view and made the apt seem smaller than it actually was. And the polished concrete floors sound really cool and modern but they're easily damaged, pitted, and always look dirty due to the errant paint drops and footprints from whoever installed them. The Dosoto and Hudson apts just a few blocks away have a much nicer examples of polished concrete floors.

On the 2nd floor I have many more problems though the noise is much more muted here. I'm in an apt with a patio view which sounds nice until you realize that the patio only gives access to three apts even though it is surrounded by at least 7. So people can just walk right up to my window and look in and even sit on my windowsill, yet I have no access to it myself. Great. Not to mention the weekly flooding problem. When too many of the apartments directly above my own do their washing the container that collects their grey water can't handle it and overflows into my bathroom which then leaks into my hallway. And when I call maintenance all they do is suck up the water and then say that it's an ongoing plumbing problem. Last night my apt flooded 3 times. And since not a week goes by without it flooding and even with the sucking equipment there is still some water damage evident in the faint smell of mold. Yes, mold. Yet this problem has existed with 2nd floor apts since the building opened. I wonder if Bozzuto knows what the definition of negligence is. Also I have damaged drawers in my bathroom and the shelves in the linen closet were filthy when I moved in. And there's not enough drawers or cabinets in the poorly ventilated kitchen. For the amount of money we pay for rent and amenities I expect much, much more.

I can no longer in good conscience recommend this building to anyone.

I can NOT believe they promoted the least friendly and most unprofessional one of the lot to Assistant Manager. Yes, the one and only miserable Lauren has been promoted. Are they kidding? Maybe it is not the staff onsite, maybe they just lack OVERALL management? ANd yes, the leaks have all started again with the rain storm.
