I have lived here for a while and must say that it's not the property itself it's the people. You have these people who literally tear the property down. The kids smoke, drank, sex, etc. in the hallways. Management doesn't care and people are getting killed over here. Please think about what you're getting yourself into. My apartment has been broken into, my car has been jacked and tooooo many people hangout. If you want a piece of mind please think twice! I think that it takes more than management, office staff and police to make a great community, It takes the community as a whole and until that happens we will all suffer!

Everyone is correct, it's the dirty tenants that attract roaches not management, you have 75% of the tenants who smoke crack or sell crack in the complex, so what do you expect. I believe that Elsinore Apartments got a bad break, but you just can't say Management Doesn't care, the tenants doesn't care either, what are we doing as a community to better the place where we live? I can answer that nothing. I have watched the maintenance workers get out their every morning and clean up the filth, the cigar fillings that are left in the hallways, crack and weed bags in the hallways, condom paper, bottles, stolen cars, and it's a playground where you can sit and get high in the parking lot, while all of this is taking place, management is home. I think that more police presence a police camera and maybe meeting with the tenants from time to time to see what we want to see happen in the place where we lay our heads at night. We are supposed to feel safe in our home, but it is very hard to do in this complex, there are a lot of outsiders who come in and destroy a lot of the property and then there's the crackheads that's lurcking around the courtyard looking to make some money for their next hit, therefore that makes everyone a target because with all of the breakins those people that smoke crack will do anything to anybody. All I have to say is everyone leave this place while you are still healthy because you don't know when the next killing or breakin is going to occur.

Management has alot to do with it if they dont push for police and cameras it wont happen what about the BODY THAT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT during the time when kids is going to school and when we leave out to work did management push then for more help is there a police car out there now HELL NO there is no change and yeah we can speak out but with out management backing us up then what! And for the outside people just hanging around we cant get them out WE ARE NOT IN CHARGE so then what

****READ this before you move into any apartment complex: View the apartment complex you're considering moving into during the day and evening. What I mean is, don't be hasty to rent without viewing the available apartment and it's community. If you see people hanging outside and/or sitting on the stairways, consider the fact that management isn't bothered by this kind of activity. Do your research before you lock yourself into a lease. Research the apartment complex and it's community online. There are beautiful apartments in all sections of DC and horrible apartments too. Moving too soon into a place without any knowledge of it's history could be a big mistake on your part. Some folk can put up with nasty living conditions, and some will make every effort to avoid those conditions and destituted minds at all cost.
