Gables Woodley Park

Horrible Management, 1st floor floods, very unprofessional. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/12/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   How many managers have gone through this place in less then a year' I had to deal with a Regional named Colleen who was so rude that I almost hung up on her, that was after she finally returned my call a week 1/2 later after I complained to the leasing staff. I am way to professional and pay a lot of money in rent, and that type of behavior is unacceptable. The garages smell like garbage, which is overflowing on the main level and trash cans never get emptied. The elevators are dirty and the roof which they call a "sundeck" is small and the cheap lounge furniture is filthy. The courtyard area floods when it rains and apparently no one has fixed it, because the hallway is torn up with a sheet on it where mold was found in the stairwells. A serious health concern and it has been reported. I lived on the first floor and when it rained it leaked in my apartment over and over. Plus, with the school next door all you can hear is kids screaming and throwing rocks into the courtyard. My neice nearly got hit and the regional refused to do anything about it. She just said "kids are kids". That is unacceptable. I heard through another resident and actually a leasing person in the office that a front desk person, was charged with stalking a girl that lived in the building. I do not feel safe nor have been treated with respect and that is why I moved. The back gate does not even have a lock on it, and several bikes were stolen from the garages. My apartment was pretty bland, and not worth the high dollar rent especially with all of the other misgivings going on in the building. There are so many other places to live in D.C. that are of far better quality. I am not complaining just to complain, this is serious and I feel others should know.
