The apartments are definitely overpriced, but more importantly, the management, especially higher level management, is very difficult to ascertain information from or work with. The elevators are always broken (or should I say "routine maintenance" almost every week), and trying to get a simple answer from anyone is nearly impossible.

The apartments themselves are fine, but nothing special. The area is quiet overall, but any positives of this building are drastically reduced because of the terrible management. Even the higher level managers, including the regional manager, are not helpful and do not seem to care about anything that goes on in the building. The staff in the building is constantly changing, which only makes things worse.

I WOULD NOT ADVISE RENTING HERE OR WITH ANY OTHER GABLES OWNED BUILDINGS. There are so many other places in the Woodley Park area that are cheaper and have MUCH better management. I wish I would have listened to the bad reviews because they are accurate.

Predatory behavior by a staff person towards children was poorly handled when I approached management with my concerns. Management would not address this behavior and challenged me to call the police...which I did. The staff person has been transferred to another Gables facility...you decide for yourself...did they address the issue? and how well do they address resident concerns? They have more concern for dogs in the building....that is another story...suffice to say there is a bleeding heart with the animal humane society that runs around making false accusations and reporting owners for abandoning dogs over the course of a normal work day.....
