I lived here for a year and a half and it was my first apartment in DC. Overall, I loved my time here. The neighborhood is great, and the proximity to the bike paths in Rock Creek Park and the Parkway alone are huge selling points. Aside from that, the garage underneath is also a huge benefit. There is no need to walk from your car outside at night since the garage is inside the building and is secure. I never had problems with the management staff. With all intereactions that I had with them, they were pleasant and helpful. The people at the front desk are very friendly too, and will make sure that maintenence requests get done for you.

About the power outages that some people have talked about: yes, they do happen. And it is annoying. But it's not every week or anything and it seemed to be usially during work hours. If you work from home and need a reliable power or internet connection, I would probably look somewhere else. But there is a restaurant on the corner that has free internet that I would go to to work when the interenet and power were out occaisionally. As I said, I lived there for a year and a half and the power went out probably 6 times during that time.

Overall, this is a wonderful place to live, in a great part of DC.
