Yo!

Epic Fail

I've lived here for 15 months, moving out in 5 days. This building sports the cheapest of the cheap for any and all amenities. It was built in the 1920's. There are regular notices that some construction project will be disturbing the lead paint, and to read your lead paint safety booklet (distributed to all new residents at move-in). There are roaches everywhere. The trash rooms are locked every day at 1pm. The electrical system is so old, they have separate lines run for AC units, which they leave turned off. They charge 50-60 dollars a month per window unit to turn those 'special' outlets on, regardless of the amount of energy you use. My car was broken into twice. There are a few very nice people working at the front desk (what they call a concierge service). Most, however, do not speak English, will not make eye contact, and are regularly sleeping on the job. They refuse to hook up the front door system to my phone number, because i have a 703 area code.
