You can do better for this price range

The Jefferson is a nice building, in a nice location. However, trust me you can do better for the money. For a supposed luxury building, there's a whole lot that's well...just plain cheap. The fountain, billed as a great view (one you pay extra for) hasn't worked the entire summer and now has thick globs of green slime clinging to the surface. The gas grill is frequently out of propane. The lifegaurd on the roof insists on playing obnoxiously loud Top 40 pop music--all the time. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, including the groaning of pipes. There are hideous popcorn ceilings and the floors are carpeted--not hard wood as you might expect for units that range between $2200 and $4000.
One of my neighbors told me that his friend was turned down for an apartment, but was informed of this only AFTER she paid the $300 deposit, had turned on her utilities, signed a lease, and was on a flight to move to DC. She still hasn't received her deposit back.
Do yourself a favor, save your money and look elsewhere in the neighborhood.

I agree with the grill. If they are shutting down the roof labor day, then there is no more access to the roof. No more grilling or even roof top view. The roof is open from memorial to labor day, 3 months. We pay for this all year round, but only access for 3 out of 12 months. Plus, the grill has been broken all summer, and there is only one for the entire apartment complex?? The management do not know how to run an efficient apartment yet, for the price.
