Truly one of the most beautiful buildings in which I have lived. The renovated common areas are impressive indeed. There is still a lot of work to be done in the "Old Wing." The apartment windows are being replaced, which is much needed, but (curiously) the tenants are being made to foot the bill (and, remember, this is not a condo).
The laundry room is wretched--at least as far as the machines and the servicing of them is concerned. Coinmach, the contractor, ought to be sued.
The best parts of K-W living are the attentive staff, the amenities (store on premises, gym, pool, common areas, parking, and kids' playroom, to name a few), and the fact that there is a residents' association, not to mention the prime location. The management also makes a real effort to build feeling of community, and are accessible and friendly.
