Construction noise and safety concerns

Corporate does not show respect to existing tenants for their rights to a clean, quiet, and safe community.

Beginning in April 2007, with only one billboard in the lobby about remodel of the lobby area, there was NO communication to the tenants of the extent of the remodeling or inconvenience to their living in the building.

Currently, there is no permanent manager to serve the tenants.

There was excessive and intolerable drilling and innumerable construction people in the building.

The building is not always clean, hammering and drilling even on the weekends continues, and unsafe conditions exist during construction.

Rent goes up at least 20-27 % or $300-$400 at renewal but this resident has only experienced the new lobby, carpets, and paint.

There will be continuous construction with the installation of small washing machines and demolition of kitchens and bathrooms in all the units.

In the fall of 2007, there's going to be construction of the exercise room, and expect construction people with no background checks to enter your apartment to change the air conditioner/heater and exterior windows.

Unless you can live through a remodel and an unresponsive corporate management company, don't move here.

i completely agree with this review. i am suprised that the latrobe did not form a tenants association. I lived there for a year and had liked the manager there exteemly. she was very approachable and i felt that she was taking tenant issues seriously. I just realized that she is no longer there and i have been speaking with a nicole regarding my almost 60% rent increase. are u serious? this place is not worth that much. the management company is the worse ever! they are unresponsive and enter your apartments without and notice. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!. It would help to bring back the old manager. frank the concierge/security is great!

Anonymous (from 7/17/07) may be talking about Roshan, who I liked as well when I lived at the Latrobe... but she hasn't been there for maybe a year. The current management is definitely as uncaring as this reviewer has suggested, and I definitely regret not thinking of forming a tenants' association while I had the chance. Whatever, I've moved already, so this is no longer my problem. Try not to make it yours.
