Worst residential experience of my life

In complete agreement with the other postings, this has been a terrible experience. Never-ending construction, loud noises, management that couldn't care less about its tenants. Don't be fooled by the 're-design,' the coffee machine and flatscreen tv in the lounge. WARNING: DO NOT RENT HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT. I know the DC apartment market is tough but living here is hell...at $2,000 a month.

Best place to live in DC... Can't beat the location and yes, an enhancement is taking place, but the noise is minimal and they say it's nearly complete. I love the management team. Viva La-trobe!

I had just written my own unflattering review, when I started reading the other reviews here - for the most part (with only a few suspect counter-examples), everyone seems to agree that the construction is a huge, ongoing problem, the management is terrible, and the place isn't worth the 20-35% rent increase (though most people quote around a 20% rent increase, but my own rent was going to go up 35%, which is one reason why I left). Honestly, with this many bad reviews, I'm not surprised there are a couple of obstinate Latrobe supporters posting feedback... hi, AIMCO Management! It's nice to see that you're paying attention to your tenants, even if you won't do anything to help them. How about instead of writing positive reviews to cancel the negative ones, you try to improve the building and charge reasonable rents?
